Tsuyoshi Maekawa

In 1962, Tsuyoshi Maekawa joined the Gutai group, a prominent avant-garde collective in Japan associated with movements like Abstract Expressionism and Art Informel. After the passing of Jiro Yoshihara(Gutai's co-founder) in 1972, Maekawa's artistic focus shifted towards the three-dimensionality of painting.
