Tsuyoshi Maekawa

Syrian artist Diana Al-Hadid is known for her "sculptural paintings,  blurring the boundary between sculpture and painting, figuration and abstraction. She uses materials such as polymer gypsum, fiberglass, and plaster, and applies them to a wall-like support. She then pries the image off the backing, resulting in a stiff, lace-like scrim.
